Plough Shear Mixer

This horizontal plough shear mixer is an efficient mixing equipment designed for powder, granular and solid-liquid mixed materials. It is widely used in mixing processes of calcium-zinc stabilizers, PVC additives, dry mortar, chemical raw materials and other materials. The main body is made of mirror-polished stainless steel, which is corrosion-resistant and easy to clean, fully meeting the hygiene and process requirements of chemical, building materials and other industries.

The equipment adopts a horizontal cylinder structure with a rigid steel frame, ensuring stable operation without shaking. The transmission part is well-protected with low noise and easy maintenance, suitable for continuous and batch production.

Structure & Core Configuration

Cylinder & Frame

The cylinder is made of SUS304 stainless steel with mirror-polished inside and outside, no dead corners, easy to clean. Both end flanges adopt quick-release bolt structure for easy internal inspection and cleaning. The frame is made of painted carbon steel with high strength and good stability, no deformation during long-term use. Feed ports are set at the top of the cylinder, and a quick-opening manhole is on the side for material observation and maintenance.

Plough Shaft System

Multiple sets of plough-shaped mixing blades are installed on the main shaft. As the shaft rotates, the ploughs drive the material to move radially and axially, forming a circulating mixing flow quickly. The ploughs are made of wear-resistant materials with long service life, good adaptability to materials, and no dead corners for accumulation.

High-Speed Chopper (Optional)

Reserved positions for high-speed choppers on the side of the cylinder, which can be installed according to material requirements. The choppers shear and deagglomerate caked materials, especially suitable for mixing processes with liquid additives. They can quickly atomize and evenly disperse liquids into powders, avoiding additive agglomeration and improving mixing uniformity.

Transmission System

The main drive adopts motor + reducer direct connection, with high transmission efficiency and stable operation. Equipped with couplings and protective devices, it is safe, reliable and has low failure rate. Motor power is customized according to equipment volume to meet different material viscosity and mixing load requirements.

Discharge & Auxiliary Configurations

A large-diameter discharge port is set at the bottom of the cylinder, which can be equipped with butterfly valve/ball valve for residue-free and complete discharge. According to process requirements, liquid spraying devices and jacket heating/cooling structures can be equipped to realize special processes such as spraying while mixing and temperature-controlled mixing.

Working Principle

When the equipment is working, the main shaft drives the ploughs to rotate. The ploughs throw the material along the cylinder wall, forming radial and axial flow to quickly create a circulating mixing flow. At the same time, when the material passes through the high-speed choppers (if equipped), it is sheared and dispersed to further refine the material and eliminate agglomerates. Under the dual action of convection mixing by ploughs and shearing dispersion by choppers, the material can be uniformly mixed in a short time, and segregation is not easy to occur during mixing, suitable for uniform mixing of materials with different specific gravities and particle sizes.
